Young Adult TMS Patient
Olivia is a 26-year-old graphic designer living in downtown San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from UT San Antonio 3 years ago and recently moved into an apartment with her boyfriend of 2 years. She has been struggling with anxiety since her pre-teens, and she was diagnosed with depression in college.
Olivia has tried many techniques to alleviate her feelings of hopelessness and sadness, but nothing seems to work. She finds it difficult to complete her day-to-day tasks and struggles to motivate herself to pursue her goal of getting a promotion at her graphic design job. She wants to engage meaningfully with her friends and family again but feels stuck.
Olivia first heard of TMS while researching alternative treatments for depression. She also discussed with her therapist, who recommended TMS as an alternative. Her company health insurance covered a large majority of the expense and she felt it was worth the financial investment for her short and long-term well-being.
Following her treatments, she was able to dramatically reduce various medications she has been using as TMS alleviated many of her symptoms. Through TMS, she is beginning to regain motivation to accomplish her personal and professional goals, and she is able to fully engage meaningfully with her friends and family again.
