Middle Aged TMS Patient

Kevin is a 50-year-old retired police officer, now carpenter, living in north San Antonio. While working as a police officer, Kevin experienced many traumatic moments that he had difficulty talking about, even in therapy.
He didn’t realize just how much he was struggling with his mental health until after he retired. His normal bouts of sadness seemed to develop into a larger sense of hopelessness that he hasn’t been able to shake off recently.
His therapist referred him for TMS treatments as neither medication nor therapy seems to alleviate his bouts of depression.
Following his rounds of TMS treatment, Kevin feels like there is light at the end of what has been a very dark tunnel. The TMS treatments have helped him manage his depression symptoms substantially to the point where he no longer takes medication. He has a renewed sense of self, along with more physical energy and he is now working more closely with his therapist on work-related trauma events.
