We accept major insurance plans including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and United Healthcare. Please note that if you're a prospective patient seeking Psychiatry services and have United Healthcare, we regret to inform you that UHC is currently denying our claims. As a result, patients with UHC will be responsible for the full cost of their visits. However, we offer private pay rates as an alternative. Once we confirm your insurance carrier, we kindly ask whether you have an "HMO or PPO" plan. While we are in network with most PPO plans and select HMO plans, please note that we do not participate in Medicare, Medicaid, or Marketplace plans.

Our dedicated Patient Advocates and Patient Care Coordinators are committed to providing the best possible support for scheduling New Patient appointments in Psychiatry or Therapy. To ensure accuracy and avoid any misunderstandings, we kindly ask that you reach out to our specialized New Patient Coordinators for the most up-to-date availability. Availability can change daily, making it challenging to provide specific timelines. We want to prevent any potential disappointment or frustration during the intake call, as we prioritize your positive experience. However, if you require an urgent appointment due to refills, crisis situations, or other urgent needs, please let us know, and we will promptly communicate with our New Patient Coordinators to accommodate you sooner or provide appropriate resources, such as inpatient facilities or mental health urgent care. Your well-being is our top priority.

Absolutely! We are pleased to offer Telehealth appointments to our patients. It's important to note that for our Psychiatry services, we do require at least one annual follow-up visit in the office, especially if you have been prescribed controlled substances. This policy ensures the highest level of care and compliance with regulations. Rest assured that we strive to provide convenient and accessible healthcare options while maintaining the necessary in-person interactions for optimal treatment outcomes. Your well-being is our priority, and we are here to support you every step of the way.

For our Psychiatry side, we offer New Patient appointments with a choice of either 60 minutes or 90 minutes, depending on the provider. This allows ample time for a comprehensive evaluation and discussion of your specific needs. On the Therapy side, all appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes, providing a dedicated session to address your therapeutic goals and support your mental well-being. Our team is committed to delivering personalized care and ensuring that each session is tailored to your unique requirements. We look forward to assisting you on your journey towards better mental health.

Typically, the completion of medical records requests may take up to 15 business days after the initial New Patient Appointment. However, we want to inform you that we cannot guarantee that the provider will be able to complete the requested documentation during the initial appointment. Depending on the complexity of the request, it may require an additional follow-up appointment before the provider can finalize the documentation. We kindly ask for your understanding as the completion of such requests is ultimately at the discretion of the provider, ensuring thorough and accurate information is provided. Our team is committed to assisting you with your medical records needs in a timely and efficient manner.

Yes, during the initial New Patient appointment, our medical providers are equipped to provide a comprehensive evaluation, accurate diagnosis, and prescribe appropriate medications if necessary. This means that you can expect a thorough assessment of your condition, followed by a personalized treatment plan that may include medication as part of your overall care. Our providers are highly experienced and committed to delivering quality healthcare, ensuring that you receive the necessary support and treatment during your initial visit. To ensure accurate evaluation and diagnosis, our providers utilize standardized measures, also known as questionnaires, during the assessment process. These measures assist in gathering important information and evaluating your symptoms in alignment with the diagnostic criteria outlined in the DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). By employing these measures, our providers can effectively assess your condition, make informed decisions, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. We prioritize utilizing evidence-based practices to provide you with the highest quality of care and ensure that you receive a comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis. Your well-being and accurate diagnosis are at the forefront of our approach to healthcare.

At our office, we have a team of psychiatrists who specialize in mental health care. One of the key distinctions between a psychiatrist and a psychologist is that psychiatrists are licensed medical doctors who can prescribe medication, while psychologists focus on therapy and counseling but do not have prescribing privileges. As a psychiatrist office, our providers are uniquely qualified to evaluate your condition, make an accurate diagnosis, and prescribe appropriate medication if it is deemed necessary for your treatment. Our goal is to provide comprehensive care that addresses both the psychological and biological aspects of mental health, ensuring that you receive the most effective and personalized treatment possible. Rest assured that our experienced psychiatrists are dedicated to helping you on your journey towards improved mental well-being.

At Genesis Behavioral Health, we have a dedicated team on our Psychiatry side consisting of highly trained medical doctors, physician assistants, and mental health nurse practitioners. These professionals specialize in evaluating, diagnosing, and prescribing medication to effectively address your mental health needs. On the Therapy side, we have licensed counselors, therapists, and therapy students who are experienced in providing talk therapy. They are equipped with the necessary tools and techniques to help you cope with and manage stress, as well as navigate any other factors that may be impacting your life. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive approach to your mental well-being, offering both medication-based interventions and therapeutic support tailored to your unique circumstances.

While Genesis Behavioral Health is a faith-based company, we firmly believe in respecting and honoring the diverse faith backgrounds and beliefs of all our patients. We do not require spirituality to be included in patient sessions. Our approach to mental health care is inclusive and patient-centered, acknowledging that each individual's beliefs and values are unique and important to their overall well-being. Our therapists are trained to provide care that aligns with evidence-based practices, while being sensitive to the spiritual needs and preferences of our patients. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where patients can explore their mental health concerns, regardless of their faith background, and work together towards improved emotional and psychological well-being.
