Briana Rodriguez

Briana graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2017. Briana worked in the school system in various roles as an avid tutor with middle schoolers; an instructional assistant in special education classes and as a registered behavioral technician working with children with autism. After seeing how important mental health was for students and their families well being, Briana decided to get her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas at San Antonio where she graduated in December 2020. Briana received her Texas LPC-Associate license in March 2021 and is currently working towards becoming fully licensed.

Briana completed her internship at the Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas where she worked with children and their families experiencing grief and loss. Briana utilizes person-centered therapy as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to provide clients with a safe space to allow them to begin their healing.

Although Briana was born in California, she considers herself a native Texan. Through her husband’s work in Family Medicine – she has found it tremendously important to address mental health holistically – and hopes that maybe one day they can work alongside each other in patient care. Briana spends her free time with her husband and two dogs and barbequing with her family.
