Cindy Todd

LMFT and TMS Therapist

Cindy has provided mental health treatment in Texas since 2011. Her experience includes helping adults and families overcome the chaos and heartache of addiction, find holistic healing and build full lives while managing symptoms of a mental diagnosis, and overcome times of crisis. She received training in Family Systems Theory at Austin Family Institute while also working with adults and families at Integral Care. She went on to continue providing therapy as a co-founder of Austin Collaborative Care while also managing the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team in Austin, TX. After this, she managed the adult outpatient program and additional initiatives serving Brazos county clients at MHMR while she lived in College Station, TX. She has now come to join the Genesis Behavioral Health team as her family has settled down in the San Antonio area. Currently she acts as the coordinator for our LPC Associates, the site supervisor for counseling students, a TMS treater, and a therapist carrying her own caseload of patients.

Her broad experience in her personal life and extensive education includes practicing treatment for substance use, mental illness, crisis assessment and intervention, existential concerns, and difficulties in relationships. Cindy works well with people of various backgrounds, helping them to find healing in mind, body, spirit, and relationships. For many people, faith in God is their worldview, and so it is an important part of their healing. Cindy believes that for some people, discussions that include matters of faith can be very helpful, and she will discuss faith as much or as little as you like.

Cindy graduated summa cum laude with a BA from Texas A&M University- University Studies with Honors Concentration and magna cum laude with a MA in Counseling from St. Edwards University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate since 2017, Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts since 2017 and Licensed Peer Specialist Supervisor since April 2021.

Cindy welcomes your need for healing and renewed spirit of hope as you struggle with the hurts, frustrations, and feelings of helplessness that life sometimes brings. Taking the Collaborative Language Systems approach, she strives to enter into the struggle with you as one who comes alongside to help in time of need.

Her aim is to gain an understanding of what is happening in your life and work together to help make changes for the better. Healing includes not only confronting problems but learning the healthy fun and spontaneity that people with active lives and growing relationships enjoy – relationships that bring love and contentment.
