Nicholas Gaultney

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Nick believes in a collaborative approach to treatment that welcomes and considers the patient’s views and values, including faith in God. Nick also believes that, while medication can be helpful and sometimes essential to treatment, psychotherapy is sometimes a critical element of a patient’s healing. Nick listens carefully in a constant effort to gain a deeper understanding of the unique experiences and perspectives of each patient he meets.

Nick is licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. He is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner which enables him to treat psychiatric and mental health conditions in children, adolescents, and adults.

Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Lubbock Christian University and earned his Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing. Nick joined Genesis Behavioral Center in June of 2016. Nick treats a variety of psychiatric conditions but has a special interest in treating depression and ADHD.

Nick’s colleagues have described him as having a friendly and calm approach that makes patients feel at ease when delving into sensitive matters related to mental health.
